How much will the Invitations cost?
A: Because of the variety of Invitations available, the determination of cost will depend upon several things. First, you will need to decide the number of guests being invited, and from there, the number of invitations you will need: Remember, the number of Invitations is not the number of guests you are actually inviting. Determine your Invitation count based on the number of addresses you are actually mailing to (couples and families living in the same household will only receive one Invitation). Next, you will need to decide if you will need separate reception cards and response cards. A typical Invitation ensemble includes these three pieces. Your invitation should reflect the two of you and set the tone for your special day. The way to determine cost is to shop around. Compare what you are getting for your money, decide on a budget and stick to it. You don't want an over abundance of Invitations to keep as wallpaper for later. However, be sure to order that extra 25 just in case you discover additional guests to include. Having to reorder later can be very costly.

How far in advance should I order Invitations and when should they be mailed?
A: You should begin looking at Invitations no later then 6-7 months prior to the Wedding with an order in place 4-5 months prior. You do not want to feel rushed in making a final decision when placing your order, nor do you want to feel rushed when preparing your Invitations for mailing. Once you are ready to place your order be sure to have all information available. This makes the process of finalizing your order be much easier. Be certain the Ceremony and Reception locations are spelled correctly and that the addresses are accurate. Your Invitations should be mailed 5-6 weeks prior for those being mailed in town and 6-8 weeks prior for those being mailed out of State.

What is the difference between Thermography and Engraving?
A: Thermography and Engraving are both types of raised letter printing. THERMOGRAPHY begins with a flat imprint of specially formulated ink. A powder designed specifically for Thermography is then sprinkled over the wet ink and both are bonded to the paper by heat to produce the raised look. ENGRAVING involves cutting copy or design into a metal plate. The die is inked and wiped clean, leaving ink in the impressions. The paper is then laid on the die, and the press forces the paper into the cavities of the die to achieve the raised lettering effect.

What if I don’t want children attending?
A: The rule of thumb and etiquette is that only those guests listed specifically on the Invitation envelope are the guests invited. If your main concern is that children not attend the Dinner and Reception, but you don’t mind if they attend the Ceremony, you can use……“Adult Dinner and Reception” on the Reception Card.

Do you have a mail order catalog?

I am also a Retail Dealer for Beverly Clark, Cathy’s Express, Hortense B. Hewitt and Krepe-Kraft, three of the largest Bridal Accessory wholesale companies. Do you design any Invitations?
A: Unfortunately, I do not design any Invitations myself, however with the 1000's of designs that are available through the companies I work with, you should be able to find exactly what you are looking for. Keep in mind, that wording, ink color and type style can be changed on any Invitation that you see, but the color of any design elements, like borders, patterns, or pictures cannot be changed.

What is the general turn around time for orders?
A1: For On-Line orders once I have received your order and processed it on my end (within 48 hours or less), it will be submitted to the printing company. Orders without Black & White Proofs are shipped within 3-4 business days unless otherwise indicated. If you requested proofs, which I highly recommend, your order will ship within 3-4 business days of your final approval. Be sure to leave an extra 24-48 hours for weekends and Holidays. Standard Ground UPS is used for most deliveries. If you need your order expedited, you do have the option of choosing 2nd Day or Overnight UPS for an additional charge. I will e-mail you when your order has shipped.
A2: For orders not placed on-line the turn around time is generally the same, except where otherwise indicated or per conversations we've had.
A3: If you are ordering Accessories the general turn around time depends on whether or not you've requested engraving and imprinting. Engraving and imprinting means a turn around time of about 3-4 business days, otherwise orders are generally shipped within 1-2 business days.

What if I just don't know where to start?
A: Begin by establishing a budget that is comfortable for you. Once you've done that write down some ideas from other Weddings or Events that you've been to. What did you like? What didn't you like? What are your tastes? What is your color scheme going to be? Then begin browsing through the Web Site at the different Invitations and Announcements available. Write down the company name, design number and design name (if one is given) of any you really like. If you'd like samples of these sent you can order them directly on-line in most cases. If there isn't a Sample Option then let me know and I'll have them sent you.
